How to get jobs alerts emailed to you by saving a job search
You can save a job search to help you look for jobs you're interested in. When you save a job search, we'll look for jobs that match your search. We'll email you when there are new jobs that match what you're looking for.
You can create and save up to 10 saved searches—a saved search will expire one year after you create it.
You can sign up to receive daily, weekly or monthly email notifications.
You can manage your saved searches in your USAJOBS profile.
To save a job search and sign up for email notifications:
- Sign into USAJOBS. If you don't have a profile, you need to create one. Only signed-in users can save their search.
- Start a job search by entering a keyword or location in the search box.
- Narrow your results using search filters or by refining your keywords in search.
- Select Save this search on the search results page directly above your results.
- Name your search—this will help you manage your saved searches.
- Choose how often you want to get notified. We recommend daily if you're looking for very specific jobs since some jobs can open and close within a week. If you select daily, you'll receive one email per day only if new jobs are posted.
- Select Save.
Manage saved searches in your profile
You can manage your saved job searches in the My jobs section of your profile. Your active and archived saved job searches will show up in the Saved searches tab.
Select the + next to a saved search to see more details. From here you can:
- See or edit your saved search—You can see your job search results. You can also edit your filters or search criteria and re-save your job search.
- Renew a search—Saved job searches expire after a year. Select Renew to keep it for another year.
- Edit your notifications settings—Select Edit notification settings to change your job search name or how often you get notifications.
- Archive or delete your saved search—You can Archive any active job searches or Delete any archived job searches. You won’t get notifications from an archived or deleted job search.
