How to search using filters
On your search results page, you can refine your results using the filters on the right-hand side.
You can select one or many filters, and we'll update your results automatically when you change your filters. The numbers in parenthesis tells you the number of available jobs for that filter. You can also select Show options with 0 jobs within each filter.
- Remote jobs—work full time from your home or an approved alternative worksite.
- Appointment type—a way the federal government classifies jobs, including permanent, temporary and internships.
- Department and agency—a specific department or agency.
- Hiring path—who can apply to the job.
- Location—the distance from a city.
- Offers telework—work both from your home or an approved alternative worksite and from the official agency worksite (sometimes called hybrid).
- Offers relocation assistance—an office may offer this if you need to move for the job.
- Mission-critical career field—job fields that are in high-demand within the federal government.
- Pay—search by salary or series/grade level.
- Position sensitivity and risk or Security clearance—different levels of security clearance required.
- Series—a way the federal government classifies jobs into categories.
- Travel percentage—how often you'll need to travel.
- Work schedule—full-time, part-time, job share and more.
